A Space to Feel Heard, Without Judgement
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable. You don't need to know exactly what's wrong or have the right words to explain how you're feeling. Your therapist will meet you where you are and work with you at a pace that feels appropriate. Therapy is a collaborative space to explore what's happening, understand yourself more deeply and develop tools to navigate life's challenges.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Our clinicians work collaboratively with you to understand your experiences, identify your goals and develop an approach that fits your needs. Sessions may incorporate evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT-informed strategies, mindfulness, trauma-informed care and other therapeutic techniques.

Neurodiversity-Affirming Care
We provide neurodiversity-affirming psychotherapy for autistic and ADHD adults. Our clinicians recognize and respect differences in communication, sensory experiences, executive functioning and ways of processing the world. Therapy is tailored to your individual strengths, needs and goals.
Some Frequently Asked Questions
What Can I Expect From Therapy?
Your First Session
You'll have an opportunity to talk about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns and what you'd like support with.
Setting Goals
Together, you and your clinician will identify meaningful goals for therapy.
Building Skills & Insight
Depending on your needs, therapy may involve exploring patterns, developing coping strategies, improving emotional regulation or working through difficult experiences.
Ongoing Support
Your treatment evolves as you do. Your clinician will regularly check in about your progress and adjust the approach as needed.
What Can I Talk About In Therapy?
You can talk about whatever feels important to you. This may include anxiety, depression, relationships, stress, burnout, self-esteem, grief, trauma, family concerns, work or career challenges, life transitions, emotional regulation or personal growth. You don't need to know exactly what you want to talk about before your first session. Your therapist can help you identify what feels most important to address.
Can I Choose My Therapist?
We do our best to connect you with a clinician who is a good fit based on your concerns, goals, preferences and the clinician's areas of experience. If you have a preference for a particular clinician, you are welcome to let us know when reaching out. If you're unsure who would be the best fit, our team can help guide you through the process.
Do You Offer Direct Billing?
Yes. Mindful Mental Health offers direct billing to select insurance providers. Many extended health insurance plans provide coverage for psychotherapy, but coverage varies between insurance providers and individual plans. We recommend checking your benefits to confirm whether services from a Registered Psychotherapist are covered, how much coverage is available and whether any limits apply.
