OUR APPROACH
Here at Mindful Mental Health, we operate with a holistic approach. We look at the individual as a whole and use a variety of evidence-based interventions in order to meet the client where they are at. Interventions get tailored to meet individual needs.
COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY (CBT)
In CBT, clients learn to identify, question and change the thoughts, attitudes and beliefs related to the emotional and behavioural reactions that cause them difficulty.
SOLUTION FOCUSED THERAPY (SFT)
Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is a short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic approach, which incorporates positive psychology principles and practices, and which helps clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems.
MINDFULNESS-BASED COGNITIVE THERAPY (MBCT)
Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy builds upon the principles of cognitive therapy by using techniques such as mindfulness meditation to teach people to consciously pay attention to their thoughts and feelings without placing any judgments upon them.
ACCEPTANCE AND COMMITMENT THERAPY (ACT)
Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is a type of mindful psychotherapy that helps you stay focused on the present moment and accept thoughts and feelings without judgment. It aims to help you move forward through difficult emotions so you can put your energy into healing instead of dwelling on the negative.
